...WINTRY PRECIPITATION TO CONTINUE OVER THE REGION TONIGHT...

.PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING. THE
FREEZING LINE WILL AGAIN BEGIN TO SLOWLY MOVE SOUTH TONIGHT. THE
REMAINING PRECIPITATION THIS EVENING COULD ACCUMULATE MORE ICE IN
AREAS WHERE THE TEMPERATURES REMAINS OR FALLS BELOW
FREEZING...WITH THE MOST ICE ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED OVER
SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI.

THE NEXT ROUND OF PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR LATER THIS EVENING
INTO SUNDAY MORNING AS AN UPPER LEVEL LOW TRACKS ACROSS THE
REGION WITH RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN CHANGING OVER TO A MIX OF
SLEET...FREEZING DRIZZLE AND SNOW. WHILE THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL
BE NORTH OF OUR AREA...MINOR ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO AN INCH OR
TWO WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO WEST CENTRAL AND
CENTRAL MISSOURI.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR FREEZING RAIN AND A MIX OF SLEET AND
SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST SUNDAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...THE FREEZING LINE EXTENDED FROM MONETT TO
ROLLA THIS EVENING AND WILL BEGIN TO SLOWLY DROP BACK TO THE
SOUTHEAST TONIGHT. ANOTHER BAND OF PRECIPITATION WILL MOVE INTO
WESTERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS FROM EASTERN
OKLAHOMA THIS EVENING WITH ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO
A TENTH AN INCH POSSIBLE.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...OCCASIONAL LIGHT FREEZING RAIN THIS
EVENING...CHANGING TO FREEZING DRIZZLE...SLEET AND LIGHT SNOW
LATER TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...A DUSTING OR LESS THAN ONE INCH
OF SNOW CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG THE I-44 CORRIDOR. ONE TO TWO INCHES
CAN BE EXPECTED FURTHER NORTH ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI AND
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO A
TENTH OF AN INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING BRINGING STORM
TOTALS FROM A QUARTER TO HALF INCH IN MANY LOCATIONS.

* IMPACTS...ICE WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE TRAVEL PROBLEMS THROUGH
THIS EVENING...MAINLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES AND UNTREATED
ROADWAYS. LIGHT SNOW AND SLEET ON TOP OF ICE WILL LIKELY WORSEN
TRAVEL CONDITIONS TONIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. ICE BUILD
UP ON TREES AND POWER LINES WILL ALSO CONTINUE TO LEAD TO
SPORADIC POWER OUTAGES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
CONSIDER TAKING A WINTER STORM KIT ALONG WITH YOU. THIS KIT SHOULD
