THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK.

DISCUSSION...

WIND CHILL VALUES WILL FALL BACK INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS TO NEAR
TEN DEGREES TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE SINGLE DIGITS WILL BE COMMON EACH NIGHT
AND EARLY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. THE COLDEST PERIOD
WILL BE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING WITH WIND CHILL
VALUES DIPPING IN THE SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO IN SOME AREAS
ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 44. COLD MORNING TEMPERATURES WILL
RETURN AGAIN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY FRIDAY
MORNING AS PRECIPITATION SPREADS NORTHEAST INTO THE AREA AHEAD OF
APPROACHING LOW PRESSURE. ENOUGH WARM AIR IS EXPECTED TO FINALLY
MOVE INTO THE REGION TO GRADUALLY SWITCH THE PRECIPITATION TO
RAIN AS TEMPERATURES WARM ABOVE FREEZING FRIDAY AFTERNOON. A
TRANSITION BACK TO LIGHT SNOW WILL THEN BE POSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT
BEFORE PRECIPITATION ENDS. OVERALL CONFIDENCE IN THE
PRECIPITATION TYPE AND TIMING IS STILL IN SOME DOUBT TWO TO THREE
DAYS OUT.
