THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
SIGNIFICANT ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.

DISCUSSION...

THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE TO
OVERSPREAD THE REGION FROM THE SOUTH. FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP
IN LOCATIONS WITH TEMPERATURES BELOW 32 DEGREES...ROUGHLY ALONG
AND NORTH OF A GALENA TO ROLLA LINE. ICE ACCUMULATIONS COULD BE
SIGNIFICANT NORTH OF THIS LINE WHERE A QUARTER TO A HALF INCH OF
ICE ACCUMULATION WILL BE POSSIBLE.

AREAS SOUTH OF THIS LINE WILL SEE PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAIN AND OCCASIONAL THUNDERSTORMS. SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

HEAVY RAIN AND THE THREAT FOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON
SATURDAY ACROSS SOUTHERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI.

FREEZING RAIN WILL CONTINUE SATURDAY MORNING NORTH OF I-44.
ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON...THE FREEZING LINE SHOULD LIFT
NORTH...CAUSING FREEZING RAIN TO CHANGE OVER TO RAIN.

ON SATURDAY EVENING AND EARLY SUNDAY...PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN
TO CHANGE OVER TO SNOW ...PARTICULARLY ALONG AND NORTH OF I-44.
A TRACE OF SNOW IS EXPECTED ON THE SOUTHERN EDGE OF THIS BAND OF
SNOW ALONG THE I-44 CORRIDOR...UP TO 2 INCHES OVER WEST CENTRAL
INTO CENTRAL MISSOURI.

BEHIND THIS STORM SYSTEM...A MUCH COLDER AIR MASS WILL FILTER
INTO THE OUTLOOK AREA. WIND CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS TO
LOWER TEENS ARE EXPECTED EARLY NEXT WEEK.
