OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER RISK.

DISCUSSION...

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THIS AFTERNOON
OVER FAR SOUTHWEST MISSOURI. GRASS AND BRUSH FIRES IN THESE
CONDITIONS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO QUICKLY GROW AND SPREAD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

AN EPISODE OF WIDESPREAD MODERATE RAINFALL IS FORECASTED
THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM ONE
INCH...TO TWO AND A QUARTER INCHES. SOME ISOLATED EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS RAINFALL. WHILE THERE IS
A LIMITED RISK FOR FLOODING...NO SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED.

LIGHT SNOW OR SLEET WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AND
MONDAY MORNING. AT THIS TIME...ACCUMULATIONS ARE ONLY EXPECTED
TO RANGE FROM A DUSTING TO LESS THAN ONE HALF OF AN INCH. ANY
ACCUMULATIONS WOULD QUICKLY MELT DURING THE DAY MONDAY AS
TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE UPPER 3OS AND LOWER 40S.
