OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.
SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER RISK.

DISCUSSION...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PASS THROUGH THE AREA THIS MORNING.
AHEAD OF THIS FRONT...SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL BE SUSTAINED BETWEEN
25 AND 35 MPH...WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.

THIS AFTERNOON...WINDS WILL BECOME WESTERLY AND REMAIN STRONG
AND GUSTY...WITH GUSTS BETWEEN 35 AND 45 MPH AT TIMES. AS A
DRIER AIRMASS BUILDS INTO THE REGION...IT WILL COMBINE WITH THE
STRONG WINDS TO PRODUCE ELEVATED TO SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN
MISSOURI.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP ON TUESDAY.
