THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED HAIL RISK.
LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
ELEVATED FLOODING RISK.
ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

POCKETS OF RAIN WITH EMBEDDED ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA THIS EVENING. NO SEVERE
STORMS ARE EXPECTED WITH THE MAIN HAZARD BEING ISOLATED
LIGHTNING STRIKES AND BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.

SLIGHTLY MORE INSTABILITY WILL THEN SHIFT INTO EXTREME
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THEN WESTERN MISSOURI LATE TONIGHT AS
A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. THIS WILL RESULT IN
MORE IN THE WAY OF THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE. A FEW STORMS COULD
PRODUCE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF PENNIES AND WIND GUSTS OVER
40 MPH. ADDITIONALLY...THE THREAT FOR HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
INCREASE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA OVERNIGHT. THIS
WILL RESULT IN A CONTINUED RISK FOR FLASH FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LINGER INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS
ON THURSDAY WITH CLEARING FROM WEST TO EAST. BY THE TIME
RAINFALL HAS STOPPED ON THURSDAY...A STORM TOTAL RAINFALL
ACCUMULATION OF ONE TO THREE INCHES IS EXPECTED. LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS CANNOT BE RULED OUT. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT
THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA.

THERE IS A LIMITED THREAT FOR A FEW STRONG STORMS ACROSS THE
CENTRAL AND EASTERN OZARKS ON THURSDAY...HOWEVER INSTABILITY
IS EXPECTED TO BE TOO LIMITED AT THIS TIME TO SUPPORT A THREAT
FOR SEVERE STORMS.

NON THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE ON
THURSDAY AS A LOW PRESSURE AND COLD FRONT TRACK THROUGH THE
REGION.

ADDITIONAL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR DURING THE
EARLY AND MIDDLE PORTIONS OF THE NEXT WORKWEEK.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
