SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS INTO THIS AFTERNOON.
BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKES CAN BE
EXPECTED FROM THESE STORMS. WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE
WITH THE STRONGER STORMS.

RAINFALL RATES OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH PER HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED
IN THE HEAVIER SHOWERS. HEAVY RAINS MAY QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING OR
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS SUCH AS CREEKS...DITCHES...CITY STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES.

THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS CHRISTIAN...WEBSTER AND
WESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 1 PM.

A STRONG STORM WILL MOVE INTO NEWTON COUNTY FROM OKLAHOMA THROUGH
NOON.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT TODAY.
