SHOWERS AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD EAST FROM EASTERN
KANSAS INTO WESTERN MISSOURI THIS MORNING. THE LEADING EDGE OF THE
SHOWERS WILL REACH A LINE EXTENDING FROM NEOSHO TO WARSAW BY 10
AM...AND IMPACT AREAS ALONG THE HIGHWAY 65 CORRIDOR BY 11 AM.

THESE SHOWERS WILL IMPACT COLUMBUS...FORT SCOTT...JOPLIN...NEVADA...
PITTSBURG...STOCKTON AND OSCEOLA.

BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKES CAN BE
EXPECTED FROM THESE STORMS. WIND GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE
WITH THE STRONGER STORMS.

RAINFALL RATES OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE
HEAVIER SHOWERS.

HEAVY RAINS MAY QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING OR POOR DRAINAGE AREAS SUCH
AS CREEKS...DITCHES AND UNDERPASSES.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT TODAY.
