AND INCREASE IN COVERAGE ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND
PORTIONS OF WESTERN MISSOURI. IN ADDITION...SHOWERS AND STORMS
THAT ARE CURRENTLY OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS WILL CONTINUE
TO MOVE EASTWARD INTO THE AREA. THIS ACTIVITY WILL PRODUCE
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...LOCALIZED WIND GUSTS TO 40
MPH AND SMALL HAIL. WITH A VERY MOIST AIRMASS IN PLACE...RAINFALL
WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. IN GENERAL...HOURLY RAINFALL RATES WILL BE
BETWEEN ONE QUARTER AND THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH. HOWEVER...
THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES ON THE ORDER OF ONE TO
TWO INCHES PER HOUR. A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT TONIGHT INTO
TUESDAY MORNING.
