THROUGH 10 PM...A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND EXPAND INTO
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI...AFFECTING AREAS
ALONG AND WEST OF THE INTERSTATE 49 CORRIDOR. THIS ACTIVITY WILL
PRODUCE FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...LOCALIZED WIND GUSTS
TO 40 MPH AND SMALL HAIL. WITH A VERY MOIST AIRMASS IN PLACE...
RAINFALL WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. IN GENERAL...HOURLY RAINFALL
RATES WILL BE BETWEEN ONE QUARTER AND THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH.
HOWEVER...THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES ON THE ORDER
OF ONE TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR. A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT TONIGHT
INTO TUESDAY MORNING.
