.NOW...
THROUGH 10 PM...LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SHOWERS WILL
CONTINUE TO SPREAD EASTWARD INTO PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND
SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS EMBEDDED WITH THIS
EXPANDING AREA OF RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED AS WELL. HOURLY
RAINFALL RATES WILL GENERALLY BE ON THE ORDER OF ONE TENTH OF AN
INCH OR LESS. HOWEVER...ANY THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY
DOWNPOURS AND RAINFALL RATES NEAR ONE HALF INCH. A LARGE BAND OF
RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUES TO EXPAND ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS. THIS ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD EAST AND INTO THE
REGION LATE THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...POSING A RISK
FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND LOCALIZED FLOODING.
