THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI...GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF THE
HIGHWAY 65 CORRIDOR. THIS ACTIVITY WILL PRODUCE FREQUENT TO
NEARLY CONTINUOUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...LOCALIZED WIND
GUSTS TO 40 MPH AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL. HOURLY RAINFALL RATES
WILL BE BETWEEN ONE QUARTER AND THREE QUARTERS OF AN
INCH...HOWEVER HOURLY RATES OF OVER TWO INCHES PER HOUR WILL OCCUR
FROM AROUND PITTSBURG KANSAS...EAST TOWARDS LAMAR MISSOURI. THIS
WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASED RISK FOR FLASH FLOODING. A FLOOD
WATCH IS IN EFFECT TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING FOR MUCH OF
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI.
