THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED HAIL RISK.
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THIS MORNING ACROSS
SOUTHERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS...MAINLY ALONG AND
SOUTH OF U.S. 60. SOME SMALL HAIL IS POSSIBLE WITH THESE
STORMS...BUT WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

ADDITIONAL ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE
WITH THE HEAT OF THE AFTERNOON ACROSS MUCH OF THE OUTLOOK AREA.
A FEW STRONG STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE...WITH HAIL TO THE SIZE OF
QUARTERS AND WINDS UP TO 60 MPH WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS.

LATER THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...A LARGE COMPLEX OF
STORMS IS EXPECTED TO APPROACH FROM THE WEST. A FEW OF THESE
STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL LEADING TO
FLASH FLOODING CAN NOT BE RULED OUT LATE TONIGHT.

HEAT INDICES WILL APPROACH 100 DEGREES IN SOME AREAS THIS
AFTERNOON...PARTICULARLY LOCATIONS WEST OF HIGHWAY 65.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE WILL BE SEVERAL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH MOST OF
THE WORK WEEK. THE OZARKS WILL REMAIN POSITIONED WITHIN A
FAVORABLE PATTERN FOR BOTH OVERNIGHT AND AFTERNOON
THUNDERSTORMS THIS WEEK.

WHILE WIDESPREAD SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED AT THIS
TIME...SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT ANY INSTANCES OF STRONG
