THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED HAIL RISK.
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

HEAT INDICES WILL APPROACH 100 DEGREES IN SOME AREAS THIS
AFTERNOON...PARTICULARLY LOCATIONS WEST OF HIGHWAY 65.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE REGION TODAY. IN
ADDITION...A LARGE COMPLEX OF STORMS IS EXPECTED TO APPROACH
FROM THE WEST LATE TONIGHT AND INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. A FEW
OF THESE STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
LEADING TO FLASH FLOODING CAN NOT BE RULED OUT LATE TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE WILL BE SEVERAL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH MOST OF
THE WORK WEEK. THE OZARKS WILL REMAIN POSITIONED WITHIN A
FAVORABLE PATTERN FOR BOTH OVERNIGHT AND AFTERNOON
THUNDERSTORMS THIS WEEK.
