THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

SIGNIFICANT FLOODING RISK.
LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
SIGNIFICANT FOG RISK.

DISCUSSION...

ONGOING FLOODING IS OCCURRING WHERE EXCESSIVE RAIN OCCURRED LAST
NIGHT. THE MOST SEVERE FLOODING IS OCCURRING IN PARTS OF LAWRENCE
AND JASPER COUNTIES WHERE NUMEROUS ROADS REMAIN CLOSED.

A FEW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING
STRIKES THIS AFTERNOON.

AREAS OF DENSE FOG WILL DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT WITH THE BEST
CHANCES OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND FAR WESTERN MISSOURI.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

NIGHTTIME FOG WILL AGAIN BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY
THURSDAY MORNING.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL AGAIN BE POSSIBLE FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT
INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY STALLS ACROSS THE
REGION.

AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S ARE EXPECTED
FROM LATE THIS WEEK INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK PRIMARILY ACROSS
SOUTHERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. AFTERNOON HEAT
INDEX VALUES IN THE UPPER 90S TO NEAR 100 DEGREES WILL BE POSSIBLE
MONDAY OVER MUCH OF THE AREA.
