DISCUSSION...

THE FOCUS FOR THE CURRENT FORECAST REMAINS ON THE HIGH PRESSURE
CURRENTLY AFFECTING THE REGION...UPPER LEVEL RIDGING ACROSS THE
AREA AND THE POTENTIAL FOR PRECIPITATION BY MID NEXT WEEK.

THE WEATHER OVER THE OZARKS WAS DOMINATED BY A CLEAR SKY AND MILD
TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S AS AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE AND THE WESTERN
EDGE OF SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE REMAINED IN CONTROL. A RATHER DRY
AIR MASS HELPED TO KEEP THE SKY CLEAR OF CLOUDS. THE SURFACE HIGH
AND UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL CONTINUE TO SLIDE TO THE EAST TODAY
ALLOWING FOR A CONTINUATION OF SOUTHERLY WINDS ACROSS THE AREA.
THIS WILL AID IN THE SLOW RETURN OF MOISTURE TO THE REGION INTO
EARLY NEXT WEEK.

WITH SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW ACROSS THE REGION THIS WEEKEND AND INTO
NEXT WEEK...TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB INTO THE 90S AGAIN. WHILE
MOISTURE WILL BE ON THE RISE...DEW POINTS WILL ONLY CLIMB INTO THE
60S WHICH WILL LIMIT SIGNIFICANTLY THE HEAT INDEX POTENTIAL FOR
THE REGION.

AN UPPER LEVEL WAVE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CENTER OT THE COUNTRY
EARLY WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY AND HELP TO PUSH A COLD FRONT
THROUGH THE OZARKS PROVIDING THE REGION WITH SOME RAIN CHANCES.
THE BEST CHANCES FOR RAINFALL REMAINS FOCUSED ON THE WEDNESDAY
INTO EARLY THURSDAY PERIOD...IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE COLD FRONT.
IN THE WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT...ANOTHER ROUND OF COOLER
TEMPERATURES WILL BE POSSIBLE AS HIGH PRESSURE ONCE AGAIN MOVES
INTO THE CENTER OF THE COUNTRY.
