..WINTER STORM TO IMPACT SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND PORTIONS OF
SOUTHWEST MISSOURI SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY...

SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND
PORTIONS OF WESTERN MISSOURI. THERE ALSO MAY BE A ZONE OF FREEZING
RAIN THAT DEVELOPS FOR A FEW HOURS LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY
MORNING ACROSS SOUTHWEST MISSOURI.

THIS ACTIVE WEATHER WILL OCCUR IN RESPONSE TO THE APPROACH OF A
VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM. THIS FEATURE WILL FORCE COLDER AIR INTO THE
REGION...CREATING THIS FORECASTED WINTRY PRECIPITATION.

CONFIDENCE HAS INCREASED THAT FOUR TO SEVEN INCHES OF SNOW AND
SLEET WILL ACCUMULATE OVER AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM
ANDERSON TO TRUMAN LAKE. FURTHER EAST TOWARD
MONETT...SPRINGFIELD...MOUNT VERNON...BOLIVAR...AND WARSAW...THERE
REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE POSSIBILITIES OF FREEZING
RAIN. THEREFORE THE WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THESE
AREAS.

LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND INTO SUNDAY MORNING FOR AREAS ALONG A
LINE FROM MONETT...TO BOLIVAR...TO WARSAW. THIS ALSO WOULD
INCLUDE THE CITIES OF SPRINGFIELD...MOUNT VERNON...AND
GREENFIELD.

* FREEZING RAIN ACCUMULATIONS REMAIN UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME.
HOWEVER...THERE ARE SOME PRELIMINARY INDICATIONS THAT A FEW
HOURS OF FREEZING RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE.

UNCERTAINTY REMAINS IN THE EXACT PRECIPITATION TYPE AND AMOUNTS.
THEREFORE THIS AREA REMAINS UNDER A WINTER STORM WATCH.
