This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited lightning risk.
Limited ice accumulation risk.
Limited fog risk.

DISCUSSION...

Areas of fog will continue this morning across portions of extreme
southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks. Visibilities could fall
to less than one mile at times.

There is a limited risk for some freezing drizzle over areas of
west central Missouri and Bourbon County Kansas today.

Thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon through tonight. A
strong storm or two can not be ruled out later tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Showers and storms will again develop Wednesday into Wednesday
night. Strong to severe storms are expected, with all modes of
severe weather possible including tornadoes. The best chances for
severe storms will occur along and south of the Interstate 44
corridor.

Colder air will move in Thursday with a brief transition from
rain to freezing rain and snow. The fast speed of the frontal
passage Thursday is expected to limit the amount of winter
precipitation.

Below normal temperatures are expected late in the week with wind
chill values falling into the single digits Thursday night into
early Friday. Temperatures will begin to moderate somewhat
Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
