THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS WILL END FROM WEST TO
EAST FOR AREAS SOUTHEAST OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR EARLY
THIS MORNING. THE MAIN POTENTIAL HAZARD WITH THESE STORMS
WILL BE CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. A FEW STORMS MAY ALSO
PRODUCE SMALL HAIL.

MEANWHILE...BRISK NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP BEHIND THAT
FRONT AND WILL PERSIST THROUGHOUT THE DAY. WINDS MAY GUST TO
AROUND 30 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

GUSTY SOUTHERLY TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP ON
WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS WHERE WINDS WILL GUST OVER 30 MPH. THESE
WINDS COMBINED WITH LOW HUMIDITY WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS. SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS MAY
DEVELOP WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND WEST OF
THE INTERSTATE 49 CORRIDOR. FIRES IN THESE CONDITIONS WILL
HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO QUICKLY GROW AND SPREAD.
